We are the Barr Family, newcomers to the Brooksville area although our family has deep roots here. In 2005, we met and fell in love at film school in Orlando and later settled in Los Angeles, where we immersed ourselves in the film industry for a decade. However, when the time came to start a family, we felt a strong desire to be near our loved ones, and Brooksville became the obvious choice. Over time, we have come to cherish this community and the unique opportunities it presents.

Upon our arrival in Brooksville, we quickly discovered the abundance of farm-fresh foods, local culinary delights, and even a local manufacturer of ice cream machines! It didn’t take long for us to realize that opening our own mom and pop ice cream shop in our new hometown was a no-brainer. Although we’ve always had a passion for food, we never imagined it would become our career. Starting small in our own home, we honed our ice cream-making skills and experimented with flavors. In 2020, amidst widespread business closures, our shop officially opened its doors.

We have been overwhelmed by the warm embrace of this community, and for that, we are immensely grateful. It is both our calling and commitment to give back in any way we can, by offering the very best that our beloved hometown has to offer.
